| Mother/daughter duo Sandra Kremers and Nicole Byars opened Twin Paradox one rainy December day in 2003. The coffeehouse is a mish-mash of their styles: industrial concrete and galvanized steel paired with reclaimed barn wood tables and comfy couches. The patio and garden designed by Sandra is open year-round. The sleek pastry case is stocked with home-style baked goods made by Nicole. The bookcase is filled with local papers, books galore, games for grown-ups and toys for tots. Free wi-fi and late night hours are perfect for working late and personable barisiti give you an excuse for not working late. |

Artwork is rotated monthly, showcasing many Sellwood and other Portland area artists, working in oil and acrylic, photography, silkscreen, multi-media and even clothing. Open mic nights, third Sunday bluegrass jams and live music Saturday nights turn the spotlight on local and out-of-town musicians. In the spirit of giving back to the community, we sponsor and donate to our schools and other events, such as the Sellwood Riverfront Concert Series and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. |
